General Order/Kitchen Settings

This section controls the overarching behavior of how orders interact with your kitchen printers and ticket workflows.

  • Enable Order Button: Configure if the ORDER button is displayed on the POS terminal โ€“ a button which sends orders to the kitchen

  • Automatically Print Check Receipt Upon Order: Toggle whether a physical check receipt generates automatically the moment an order is sent to the kitchen (to a printer or KDS)

  • Enable Void Receipts: When checked, a void receipt will automatically print to the kitchen whenever an item or an entire order is voided.

  • Enable Coursing: Turn this on to manage and group items by specific courses.

  • Send All Outstanding Items upon Order: When using the 'Simple (Separator)' coursing type, when this is enabled, all courses are printed. When disabled, only the first/next course is sent to the kitchen upon pressing the Order button.

  • Automatically Order Un-ordered Items upon Payment: Automatically pushes any remaining un-sent items to the kitchen as soon as payment is processed.

Use these settings to customize the layout, text size, and specific details that appear on the physical kitchen tickets to improve back-of-house efficiency.

Ticket Layout & Formatting

  • Add Extra Space on Top: Adds an extra inch of blank paper at the top of the ticket (useful for hanging clips/rails). This is configurable for each printer type.

  • Sort Items By: Choose the order in which items appear on a single ticket โ€“ by default โ€“ based on the time of their input in the POS, by a seat number or alphabetically

  • Larger Text for Items Section / Assignment: Adjust font scales to make crucial data easier to read in busy kitchen environments.

Visibility

  • Display Guest Count & Include Item Count: Toggles whether the total number of guests or specific item tallies are printed.

  • Highlight Order Number: Prints the last digits of the Order # at the very top in a large font for quick identification.

  • Highlight Assignment at the bottom in red: Specific to line printers only.

  • Highlight Customer: Specific to kitchen printers only; emphasizes customer name.

  • Highlight 'Delivery Partner': Display the selected 'Delivery Partner' on top of the receipt.

  • Highlight 'Source' for External Online Orders: Displays delivery platforms or external online ordering origins clearly at the top of the receipt.

  • Highlight Unordered Modifiers

  • Displaying Modifier Group Name: Grants fine-tuned control over how custom modifier requests stand out on the ticket.

  • Add checkboxes next to items: Highly recommended for expeditors to check off items as they are prepared.

Time & Notes

  • Display Order note on Order/Kitchen Receipts: Ensures custom instructions or customer notes are printed clearly for the chefs.

  • Display Estimated Ready Time for ASAP Orders

  • Ready/Scheduled Time Position: Choose if and where (Top of Receipt, Bottom of Receipt) scheduled times should print.
