All customers ordering through Make It Butter must verify their phone number, though this verification is only required once.
The verification is required either during sign up – creating a new Make It Butter account, when changing a phone number in Make It Butter customer's profile or while placing an order (for existing customers).
This additional security measure helps prevent fraudulent orders and ensures customers provide accurate phone numbers for receiving order and delivery updates via text message.
Phone verification has been enabled by default on all Make It Butter websites since February 6th, 2025, and cannot be disabled.
How it works
While placing an order, if the phone number hasn't been verified, after clicking 'Place Order..', a 'Verify Your Phone Number' window appears and a text message is sent to the phone number entered during checkout.
After typing in the verification code from the text message and clicking Verify, if the verification was successful, the order is placed and phone number will not have to be verified again.
