Designing system architecture from the ground up
Cross-platform mobile engineering
Interfacing with specialized, low-level hardware
Crafting modular solutions and smart shared codebases

What will you do
What you'll work on with us
At Figure, you will primarily develop new features that are well-designed, optimized, responsive, and reliable. In addition, you will participate in maintaining and improving the existing system. We work as a team, so you can count on close collaboration with the product and design teams, backend developers, and QA/testers.
Specifically, you will:
Work on the development of the new mobile POS – implement new functionalities
Take care of existing applications – handle technical tasks, monitor alerts and crashes, and help resolve other production issues
Work with native modules to extend the capabilities of React Native itself
Participate in code reviews and establishing best practices
Engage in Scrum events – daily standups, sprint plannings, retros, and weekly groomings

Production frontend development in a team: you have at least 3 years of experience with projects that reached production
React Native: you have been developing in RN for at least 1 year
TypeScript: you can quickly navigate large codebases
An eye for UI/UX: responsiveness, consistent design, and intuitive user flows are second nature to you
Testing: you automatically test your code with unit and integration tests
AI: tools help you work faster, but you always verify and test the outputs
You enjoy programming: you are drawn to solving technical problems, have a natural curiosity, and bring enthusiasm to work
Not afraid of unknown code: our system is truly extensive, so there will be no shortage of discovery and challenges
Eagerness to learn: you are interested in pushing your skills and the system you work with forward. You don't want to stand still and you view feedback as a tool for growth
Team matters to you: You don't view work as just writing code. You want to be at a company with a great team where you can also improve how the team functions together

About Figure
Figure is a small US-Czech company. There are currently almost 40 of us. We are spread across three continents – the development team is in the Czech Republic, mainly in Brno, business operates out of New York, and customer support is in the Philippines. We focus on the US market, and our services are used by over 500 clients. These are mostly restaurants and bistros, but we also have businesses outside hospitality. Our goal is to help businesses deliver great service, boost their competitiveness and profitability, and simplify their business processes. We started as a POS system, but gradually evolved into a comprehensive business management platform. We have a 10-year journey behind us and still maintain the friendly atmosphere of a startup, along with the drive to improve and innovate!
